How to spot genuine escort ads and avoid the common scams

Published: August 24, 2026

Classifieds scams always run on the same few scripts. Once you know them, you can filter out fake ads in minutes — before you lose money or waste a trip across town.

The most common scam patterns

1. Payment before the meeting

The most popular scenario: the “booking” requires a bank transfer, a BLIK code or a gift card (Google Play, Paysafecard) before the meeting. After you pay, the contact goes silent — or a request for another “refundable deposit” appears.

The rule is simple: genuine advertisers settle in person. Any request for money before the meeting is your signal to end the conversation.

2. Stolen photos

Fake ads use pictures of models and creators taken from foreign sites. Check with a reverse image search (Google Images, TinEye): if the same photo shows up on multiple sites under different names, it is not the person you are messaging.

3. A price detached from the market

A rate clearly below other ads in the same city is designed to pull in as many people as possible — and then “add” extra fees on the spot or extract an advance payment. Know the local brackets first: how much do escort services cost in Poland.

4. Text-only contact

Avoiding a phone call and pushing everything onto messengers is a standard part of the scam script. One short voice call verifies more than dozens of messages.

A short checklist before you meet

  1. No advance payments, codes or “deposits” — payment in person only.
  2. Reverse-search the photos from the ad.
  3. Have a short phone call before you agree to meet.
  4. Compare the rate with other ads in the same city — for example in women in Warsaw.
  5. Meet at the place described in the ad, not one “changed at the last minute”.
