Odloty.pl is down: what happened to the Polish escort site
Published: August 24, 2026
“Odloty down”, “what happened to odloty” — thousands of people in Poland have been typing these phrases after losing access, from one day to the next, to one of the country’s most popular escort classifieds sites. Below is what is known from public sources, a warning about sites piggybacking on the brand, and some pointers on what to do next.
What odloty.pl was
For years odloty.pl belonged to the very top tier of Polish escort advertising portals — alongside Roksa it was the second address that practically everyone interested in this market knew by heart. The site built a strong brand: the word “odloty” (roughly “highs” or “taking off” in Polish) worked as a standalone search phrase, no qualifiers needed. For many advertisers it was the natural complement or alternative to the biggest competitor — a different community, partly different audiences, its own layout of categories and cities. A large share of the market published ads on both portals in parallel, and clients treated the two sites as a set: whatever was missing on one, you looked for on the other.
What happened to Odloty
The site stopped working — the page does not respond, and ads and user accounts are inaccessible. According to media reports (the Polish outlet Wirtualna Polska, among others, covered the story), the portal’s owner was detained. The case fits into a wider law-enforcement push against sites in this industry — in parallel, roksa.pl was suspended by a prosecutor’s order, which we cover in detail in what happened to Poland’s biggest escort site.
One thing must be said clearly: neither a detention nor a pre-trial investigation is a verdict. Until the case is finally decided, the presumption of innocence applies, and everything known about it comes exclusively from public media reporting — we are not prejudging anyone’s responsibility here. For users, however, the practical effect is a fact: the portal is down and nothing suggests a quick return.
Beware of clones and sites trading on the brand
A recognisable name that suddenly vanishes from the web is a gift for imitators — and indeed, sites exploiting the Odloty brand are out there: domains with “odloty” in the name, supposed “new addresses” and “mirrors”. Nothing connects them to the original portal except the name. In practice these are mostly affiliate pages earning money by redirecting traffic, and the ads — if there are any at all — come from scraping other sites and have never been verified by anyone.
How to tell such a clone from a genuine service:
- no moderation — ads appear without any review, often with photos and phone numbers familiar from the old portals;
- no rules — there are no terms of service, no way to report abuse and no information about who operates the site;
- redirects — clicks lead to external pages, messengers or data-harvesting forms instead of an ordinary ad with a phone number.
None of these sites has access to the old portal’s accounts or content either — forms promising to “recover your Odloty ad” exist purely to phish your data.
What the story teaches
The fate of Odloty and Roksa points to the same thing: in the classifieds business, the key line runs between hosting ads and facilitation. Polish law does not prohibit publishing other people’s ads, but Article 204 of the Polish Penal Code criminalises facilitating and profiting from someone else’s prostitution. A site that only publishes ads — with contact and payment happening directly between the parties — operates on a different side of that line than an operator who takes part in arranging meetings. That is also how escortnow is built: every ad passes moderation before publication, and the site takes no part in meetings or payments.
Where to look for ads now
After the disappearance of the two biggest portals, the market has scattered and is settling into a new shape. A practical overview of where to browse and post ads in Poland today is in where to post escort ads in Poland. The rule does not change: moderation before publication, direct contact and zero prepayments — that is what you should demand from any site you land on after Odloty.
